If the fuses don't solve it your new best friends are a wiring diagram
and a multimeter.  Start tracing the wiring path from the battery,
though the starter switch, through the clutch and neutral switches and
up to the starter solenoid.  If the solenoid is getting power on it's
firing lead but isn't kicking replace that and go from there.  Bike
Bandit has the correct one for $82 but any 12 volt automotive starter
relay should work (isn't exactly a high current system) or get one off
a parts bike.

As for your power off problem one thing at a time.  Get it started
first and then see if it still does it.  I'd wager either you're
running the battery down (the headlight should be on with the key but
will turn off when the starter switch is pressed), there is a bad
ground somewhere, or something (probably a dying fuse) is heating up
and opens after current runs through it for a while.
