Sure, south of I-10 we get to ride all winter, but August is miserable. That's why I chose that month to take my bike to pieces and get all of the frappin LAMP CORD and DUCTTAPE out of my electrical system. *grumblegrumble* I agree with Paul, nothing too major there. You're not tearing down the engine, and even if you were, who cares? The way I ask myself that question is this. If everything was running right, is this the vehicle I would really want? If yes, and the cost of the repairs is less than it would be to buy that same vehicle in perfect condition, then go ahead and do it. That said, there's no reason you can't have two bikes. :)
