i agree that at 78,000 my goldwing should be just getting broken in, but it
was neglected by previous owners (evident by the almost no existant seat,
missing mirror, cracks all through the wind screen and just general
condition... i shouldent say that it was neglected, but it was definatly
ridden hard (when i got it it had a colorado title) and sat under a tree for
a year... after letting it sit for 2 days when i start it theres a HUGE
cloud of white/.gray smoke (burning oil?) from the pipes... i believe that
it needs valve guide seals, but that may be more work then the bike is
worth... whatever the reason looking at the numbers an increase in MPG with
higher grade fuel is evident in the numbers...
