HI Paul, I found the Nighthawk on Craigslist in the NE Ohio area. Mechanically it runs well. There is a slight oil leak at the top of the cylinder head cover. I already ordered the gasket to hopefully correct that. It has an aftermarket tach that doesn't really work, so I hope to replace that.
Electrically, it is in poor shape. I thought it was just missing turn signals and that the ignition had been re-wired to the side of the bike.....but now that I have gotten under covers and such, it is really bad. I don't feel safe driving it the way it is. So now comes the fun part of finding a new fuse box, ignition, and some other misc wiring pieces to get it wired up right. I also need to find some cheap turn signals to throw on it and figure out why the brake light isn't working. Other than that, it is a starter bike for me, so it should be good for that.
