Last year I did a whole bunch of reading about helmets before settling on the Shark I have now. Different manufacturers seem to make the majority of their helmets for one shape of head. http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-helmets/motorcycle-helmet-weights.htm http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motorcycle-helmet/nolan-n43/ These guys have a nice chart. Sharks seem to work well for out of round, slightly oval shape heads which happens to be what my cranium is. After selecting that and liking it I measured my skull according to their Shark's chart and came up with the right size. Ordered on bikebandit and have had no problems, it's been a great helmet. I'll need a new one for next season but that's because I haven't been kind to this one.
