Well, the light that is flashing turning off is normal. When you turn the turn signal on the turn signal switch cancels the running light filament in order to make the blinker filament more visible. I just replaced my flasher relay with a 3 prong one from Autozone and it worked with no issues. Maybe the 750 only has a 2 prong though? I have a 550. The only think I can really think of is a loose ground wire. But I'm no expert, so don't take my word on that.
