In general, anything that requires subsidy of the government to be a "success" is not ever a success. It is usually substandard and incompetence rules. Take, for instance, Chrysler: subsidized twice, they are still substandard. Oh, when they were part of Mercedes Benz, they did better and their quality improved; but the divorce came because German execs in M-B had to work for their salaries, which were also less than execs at Chrysler made and there began to be murmurings of dissatisfaction at M-B. Oh, it went deeper than that, but we always only see the tip of the iceberg. I only know some of this because I have friends that work for Chrysler. Of course, I can read, also... About that, all I can say is, the mass media is silent about the truth. It is controlled and they do not allow the opposition to be heard, except as some hysterically raving lunatics, or uneducated illiterate bums, so the consensus is that the opposition is the proverbial ship of fools, with negative criticism and no alternatives to the status quo.
