Undoubtedly to the growing chagrin of some of you, I survived! All eight fingers, two thumbs and ten toes survived, though the boys got a bit chilly!
Having to turn around halfway so I could go back and fetch one of my textbooks from the office didn't help, mind... but I survived. The roadside thermometers on banks and such read anywhere from 37F (in shaded portions of road) to 41 (With which my weather reports concurred), so I figure that was the range of standing temperatures I experienced on the ride home.
