I rode home last night at -6C (~21F for the US folks). I have the liner back in my jacket, a neck sock, gloves, two pairs of socks and thermals on. I added a knit hat today under the helmet, as the air moving across my head was cold, but it was only in the thirties today.
We have a serious cold snap here in SC right now...
