That is what I was thinking too Kurt, 10 amps seems excessive.

10 amps @ 12v nominal is 120watts... that's actually a lot of power for it
to be putting out at an idle. Only things that should be consuming that
power are your headlight and the ignition box, right?

Just seems high. Headlight's probably no more than 35w, if memory serves
correctly (35/55 low/high on a standard halogen bulb? Versus the 55/100
"upgrade" bulbs?), which leaves 85w for the ignition box...
