Best price for a center stand, $110 + s/h = $128 + change from: http://www.monmouthcycles.com/fiche_select.asp
Several of us have ordered from there. It's in New Jersey and takes about a week. Maybe 30 minutes to install, and THE most well-spent money when it comes to working on the bike. Hardest part is attaching the spring, unless you know this trick: After you've launched the spring all over your workshop several times trying to muscle it into place with vice grips, sit cross-legged on ground and hold the legs up in the retracted position with one knee. Using a small screwdriver (3-inch or so shaft), hold the spring level with the legs at the closest position to the hook it attaches to and lever it onto the hook. That's it. Instructions call for removing the side stand and standing the bike upright, but I didn't find that neccessary. All the work can be done with it resting on its side stand. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
