I found same situation when I was semi-sorta looking for a Naked Wing
a couple months ago.

Asking prices were all over the lot -- from $700 to $10,000 -- from
needs work, to pristine.

A low price usually means a guy doesn't know what he's got, or it's in
pretty bad shape, or it's taking up space and wifey says get rid of
it.  The other end of the spectrum is someone who's studied the market
and wants to appeal to the collector or afficianado.  And he knows
they're out there, willing to put up serious money.
