Having two in the stable is always a good idea ;-) Especially the

now wishing I had a CBR rectifyer/regulator. Anybody know if those
things are swapable between bikes? I don't want to fry one testing
to see if whether a different one is bad.

Yey for kindreds!
I was just thinking about super glue, but I'm worried that if it
fails on the
highway, she'll start spewing oil everywhere and then I have to
deal with that
and the tow, too. But a year is a pretty long time, so maybe I'm
fine doing
that until the part arrives.
Did you torque it down after super-glue, or just hand-tighten?
I found the part on bikebandit.com for $12 (part # 567988, "cap"),
and it's in
stock at Honda, but Honda has to ship to bikebandit, then they turn
around and
ship to me, and the fastest shipping they have is UPS 2-day (but
not Saturday or
Sunday).
I suppose the stars could align and Honda ships it today,
bikebandit gets it
Friday and ships UPS who delivers fast on Monday, but that's still
a long while
to be out a commuter bike. Maybe I need two Nighthawks?
Anyway, thanks for the understanding parallel story. ;)
Peace,
+Lie
