Here where I live, the photo speed and light cameras flash you if you turn right on red if you don't stop long enough. If you are at the intersection and the light just changed, and you go before the conrol time, it will flash fo cash...
I went one time because there was so much cross traffic coming, that I would have had to wait a very long time. Now, I don't care, because I "immunized" my license plate and I have been flashed twice with no resulting ticket in the mail. Two months now and silence. Usually one arrives within two or three weeks. Now I am selling it locally and I found out the firm that sends the tickets also was on the list of those selling the treatment for your plates. Be warned: they were shortening the yellow time from four to three seconds, to make more money. Where they have been found out, the city was forced to change the time back. Can you imagine having to cross a 110 foot intersection in three seconds of yellow instead of the original nearlyFIVE??? I believe that the lights that change because someone on a side street activates the light, and you are traveling the limit, is forcing you to stop and use more fuel. And the guy who is on the side street waiting has used fuel because the light is waiting to stop you. Late at night, the lights should be just blinking yellow on main, red on side, and you just go when it's clear (which is most of the time) on the side street. That's how it was when I lived in Arizona. The sensors don't register my 250 or my bicycle, so i will run the light with my bike, and go "around" with my 250 at night when there are no cars.
