Hey all - sorry for my late response. I drove up to check the bike out this past Sunday, and MAN was this guy a vintage collector. We hooked up a new battery to crank it over so he could show me the knock, but we heard nothing out of the ordinary. I took it off of his hands for the $350 regardless and brought it home. Thanks for all of your responses, it really made the difference in this transaction. Here is a quick pic I snapped once I got it home.
