Here we go down this old road... As I think about Northern Ireland, WWII, Genocide in former Yugoslavia, and of course the events of 10 years ago, I am stumped to think of any war (past or present) that doesn't have religion as the basis.
I've got a challenge for anyone out there - name one major conflict without religious undertones. Anyone??? And what would a Catholic do if he realizes as he or she passes that the Norse gods were the right ones, or the Hindus? Are we just to follow what we were taught when we were young? All saying is questioning your beliefs, and if it comes to be that they no longer make sense, then it is time for a change.
