check your grounds and/or your battery sounds weak

Hi all! When I hit the Starter button on my 700s, the magnet or
relay makes a loud clicking noise, like normal, and the headlight
goes out, but the starter doesn't spin. If I hookup a car battery
directly to the starter it will spin (which tells me a good
starter), but it will not spin the motor, almost like the solenoid
that engages w/ the relay isn't engaging. Anyone have any
suggestions as to howto fix? As a side note, with the engine not
running, the turn signals barely work, almost like they are
completely straining to click over the relay, I wonder if the two
conditions are related?
Thanks for your help!
