I know this is probably an unnecessary statement but... Be sure to put the clip 
on the right direction or it can come off with catastrophic effect.

Yeah, I've confirmed that the CB450SC, for all years (82 - 86) used a 17 in
the front, a 36 in the rear, and a 530x106 chain (o-ring).  I'm ordering
all of those today as soon as I can find an o-ring or x-ring chain that I'm
happy with reviews and descriptions of.  I'm trying to get a clip master
link instead of a rivet because I don't really want to have to buy a rivet
tool and I don't think the massive power of the 450 is going to overwhelm
the clip [?]
