Thanks for the input. I know very little about the chrome bikes. I am
surprised that no one suggested a shadow Aero or magna or Harley. I will
have to see what's available and what I can afford. When you look at the
reviews of the sport-touring bikes it seems there are no perfect bikes.
Seems like they all need some upgrades or revisions. handle bar risers,
lowering struts, head gasket leaks from overfilling, difficult repairs .or
buzzing engines. You would think that highway pegs and a flip up passenger
back supports would be standard on a sport touring bike. It almost makes
me want to get one of those $500 custom seats for the Nighthawk.

Thanks, Ron

I have a question on motorcycles in general. I have been thinking of
getting a new bike... a Kawasaki Concours. I like their sportyness, but now
I have been reading the Concours has an annoying buzz, highway pegs are very
difficult, they run very hot, and require a boat of upgrades like handlebar
risers, cruse control and stuff. I want a bike I can take a 4 hour trip
without stopping because of road or chain vibration, small tank, and a sore
butt. What bike would you suggest, if your main concern was comfort?

Ron
