It's a common practice for motorcycle tire guys to try and sell you a tire that's "10 over". Both will fit on the same rim, the idea is that the 140 is 10mm wider than the 130 and will give you more traction. It will also increase the diameter a little bit. Personally I prefer sticking with the stock size on my bike. You should be able to switch back to 130 with no issue.
