I feel your pain on the things-don't-work front.

Bought a front fender for the Wing off Ebay.  Same color and described/
photographed as having only clearcoat scratches. Figured I could wet
sand and buff those out and have a decent looking fender for less than
the cost of a repaint.

But when I got it, found it had 18 tiny blisters/bubbles in the paint
that didn't show in the pics and weren't described in the ad (!)

So now I'm faced with the delicate process of scraping/sanding the
blisters and using touch-up paint (base coat, top coat, clear) or a
complete repaint and pin-striping.  Coulda done that with the original
fender.

Caveat emptor !!
