Lots of good stuff, but not much about wet riding. I had a track day a few weeks ago in the rain and I went down twice. (Not on the nighthawk.) I'd say the scary thing about the rain is that you dont have as much warning as you do when its dry - theres no gradual slippage, its 'traction then BOOM'. That being said, I was pretty impressed by how far I could get it - I could totally get a knee down on DOT tires in the rain. I would pick a rainy day and find a big empty parking lot... just like when you started out, slowly work up the courage to lean the thing over. Be careful with trail braking though! No sudden movements. Probably a good idea to practice emergency stops while you're out there.
Disclaimer: I don't go cheap on my tires, and they dont stay on more than 2 years. YMMV. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
