Thanks everyone. I am going to buy the mityvac on Amazon.com this morning.
I will have to wait for it but at $34 it won't hurt to much, plus I can then
be able to check vacuums. My ST has a bunch of brake and clutch lines to
bleed, and they say you can't get a vacuum pump to seal properly on them.

I friend wants to buy my NH and I want to change out the brake fluid before
I sell it. I thought my brake fluid indicator was a darker yellow because
the glass was faded. Now I know I've been negligent there, but the brakes
always worked so well, I didn't to fool with it. I learned something. Oh
and I will cover everything with pain nearby. Thanks.

The master cylinder will still pump fluid just fine with the lid off. The
trick is to keep an eye on it and not to let the level drop.

I am going to change the brake fluid in my NH. I went to two auto supply
stores and they only had a fluid marked DOT 3 and DOT 4. Can I use that or
do I have to go to Honda and get fluid for DOT 4 only?

Also I am going to change out the fluid. The book says I can do it manually
without a suction pump. Will I regret trying that manually. Most everyone
recommends the pump. I have done it a number of times on cars, but
motorcycles are different in that when you remove the lid, you lose the
vacuum? Will the clutch lever push the fluid down without air?
