Plenty of bikes out there that can be used as a daily rider; no reason to run up a ton of miles on a nice one. They aren't making these bikes any more, and finding nice (low mile) examples are getting harder to find every day.
I agree having a bike to use as a daily rider should be most peoples first "priority", but having a really nice version of something you really like, has its' place also. I/anyone can go see an "average" or "tired" bike about anywhere, but it's nice to go see some vintage bikes/cars, that didn't get gobbled up by time, and miles....I think this is part of the reasons there are such things as bike/car shows to go see nice examples of things gone by.
