I recently read a blog on this very question, a guy that was very familiar with Concourse, ST1300, and the FJR on the ST-owners site. The guy boiled it down to this. They are all good bikes. The FJR was smaller, lighter and quicker. The Concours was large like the ST. However he claimed the maintenance on the ST was much less and better than all hands down.
I tested a Concours once. I didn't care for it, because it seemed like a boat to me. Maybe the suspension was not set up right on it. I love my ST! It rides a Honda and howls like a Honda on steroids. My caveat is that it is bigger project to work on anything under the front fairing. There are lots of screws and clips. After only having a NH and naked bikes it's just much more. With 3 disk brakes there were seven lines to bleed out the fluid and of course the clutch fluid.
