Since I'm relatively still new to the group, I'm going to assume that this
question has already been brought up since the oil filter cross reference
information is on Paul's Nighthawk website.

http://www.calsci.com/motorcycleinfo/FilterXRef.html

Just wondering if anyone is really using the $2 Walmart SuperTech ST317 Oil
Filters on their Nighthawks?

If so, how is that working?

I bought the bike with a KN-303 filter on it, going to do an oil and filter
change, and if I can use the $2 filter as opposed to the $12 filter, why
not? The SuperTech ST317 is one of the recommended choices on the site.

Are they even available anymore?

Thanks!

(Will probably still go with the K&N, just checking out options)
