Thanks for explaining that Kurt. I guess we should know what kind of bike he
is talking about.  I looked up a 1980 Honda 650 schematic.  If it is similar
to that, and the head is rolled over, you have a problem.  If that is the
case the head bolt would have to be drilled and then turned with an easy
out.  And then cleaned very well for chips.  Also then replace the bolt.

I was not sure what you were talking about. But with an oil filter that
won't move with the wrenches, I drive a screwdriver or chisle through it and
use the driver to break it free.  I never saw one that could not be freed
with a screwdriver or chisle.

Not trying to insult your intelligence, but are you certain you're turning
it the right way? That's gotten me on -far too many- occasions. Where that
filter canister sits it would be incredibly easy to be turning it the wrong
way.
