Did some work on my '89 PC several years ago, found a cracked (and leaking)
isolator. That was when I had had the bike for just a short time. It was my
first and only, "big" job. Had some good advice from the group here but it
still
was a a b.... I couldn't believe how difficult is was to get enough pull on the
carb assys Wound up standing on the bike, with a strap over my shoulders and
heaving back and forth, while trying to stand up straighter.
I took the carbs apart for cleaning (one at a time) and it wasn't difficult,
just be patient and take your time

Dick MacInnes.

Actually, maintenance is rather low. Check the oil, coolant and go. I've had
all
the pieces off a couple of times to add mods and had very little trouble, and
I'm not a "wrench". It's more trouble to get the valve cover off my '85
CB650SC.
And it's a great touring bike. And I'm 82 now.
