It may have been the first time the carbs had been removed. I had to take them off because of the cracked isolator on the bottom. I think you could probably do the carbs without taking the whole pile off but??? I didn't try due to the foregoing isolator problem.

So I was wondering how hard it is to get to the carbs and remove them from the bike. I just cleaned the carbs on a 2006 Yamaha VStar 650 and it was incredibly easy. I didn't even have to remove them from the bike. I was hoping the PC would be the same .... I couldn't believe how difficult is was to get enough pull on the carb assys Wound up standing on the bike, with a strap over my shoulders and heaving back and forth, while trying to stand up straighter. >I took the carbs apart for cleaning (one at a time) and it wasn't difficult, >just be patient and take your time > >Dick MacInnes. > > > > > > ________________________________ From: Graham Rogers <[email protected]> >To: [email protected] >Sent: Thu, October 11, 2012 4:11:16 PM >Subject: Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: 1990 Honda Pacific Coast > >Dick, ever had to work on the carbs?
