Until Honda puts it on their moto GP bike I'll stand on it isn't better than a clutch and an air shifter. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

A DCT can shift fast enough that it can shave large fractions or even whole seconds off a 0-60 or 0-100 time, and keep the engine in a tight power band the whole way, but only if it takes the human out of the loop. Even an air shifter can't match that, and it's part of what's sold automatics to the performance automotive world. Add on top of that the fact that it becomes easier to add in traction control, ABS and other goodies to keep people riding bikes well beyond their actual skill level alive to keep buying new bikes while also giving them the rush that keeps them buying new bikes... Try buying a supercar with a traditional stick shift these days; there are few, maybe even none, remaining to buy. -Kurt On Mon, Mar 4, 2013 at 1:54 PM, Allen Thomas <[email protected]> wrote: > ** > I'd doubt the CBR owners would appreciate it any more than the VFR guys, > for the same lack of control reasons. > > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
