Sell it through theGSresources, since you really didn't do anything to it and got 10K out of her I'd say get your $1500 back and be done. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

All, As most if not all of you know, I retired my 1978 Suzuki GS-1000 when I bought my new bike last fall. As a result, I'm sitting on a 1978 Suzuki that has failed to get any serious bites from people on Craigslist. Its sitting in my shed and I'm at the point where I would like to get it sold rather than have it continue to sit. So here is the question - what is a 1978 Suzuki GS-1000 worth? Its the first year of production, electronic ignition kit installed, Windjammer SS fairing and matching Vetter bags, has approximately 58,000 miles on it and it was running at the end of last years motorcycle season up here in Maine. The thing I don't want is to sell it to someone who is going to part it out or chop it up. Its too nice and its been around for too long to do that to it. I bought it for $1500, ran it for 10,000 miles over two seasons, put a total of three tires on it, back brakes were rebuilt, rotor replaced etc, carbs cleaned by a bike shop last spring.
