It will be stamped on the block usually behind the starter or over the clutch
cover. It will be unique to each engine so you'll have to wait until you get
the bike.

Subject: Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Parts?

Ok...new question. When I went to transfer the title on my NH, they told me I
need to supply the engine number. I can't get it until it arrives and that
won't be for a couple of weeks. Does anyone know where to find the engine
number? I looked at the Clymer manual generously supplied by someone on this
forum but it wasn't there. I saw something, somewhere, that the manual that
comes with the bike will have it but that's two weeks out. Any help would be
appreciated!
