17 does lower roll on power a bit, but not severely. If I rode hills more
often it would have been unbearable, but at speed it just meant I was
actually using downshifting to accelerate so I didn't mind.

I picked up ~4-5 mpg if I babied it, or stayed the same while riding
harder, so a little dip in roll-on was acceptable to me.
