Ross, I went up to a 16 on my 96 750 the last time I changed the chain. I
like it much better that way and I'll never go back. I don't weigh much, so
the bike just seems peppier with the bigger sprocket. Now I kind of wish
I'd gone to a 17.I still find myself trying to put it in 6th gear all the
time. It just seems to be revving too high for the speed I'm going compared
to my daily ride, a V30 Magna. I know that's weird since the Magna is a
high revving machine, but that's the sensation I get. As for roll-on power,
inline 4's just don't seem to have it in general (don't mean to start
anything by that). I need to drop a gear to get it to pass a car no matter
what sprocket's on it, I find.

BTW, the mercury's at 30 degrees as I type this. Wondering if I should
bundle up and ride to work again today...
