Thanks Kurt ! I went through the system with a multimeter found a lose 
ground wire on the rectifier that took care of the starting issue,then went 
after the head light issue and found a bent connector between the fuse box 
and the headlight switch and that took care of that ! You were right STUPID 
CRAP ! well it is going to 80 degs here in So Cal today I think I will go 
for a ride !
