Hi Mark,

Depending on your bike it can be an easy task or a challenging one. I have
done it, and often times it requires lengthening cables. You can either buy
a set of different bars or you can purchase an extension kit that bolts on
and extends your existing bars up and back a bit.

Usually a extension of the handlebars is done more for BACK discomfort
rather than hand cramps. Do you have large hands? Some other options are:

1. Larger foam grips
2. Installing a cramp buster <http://crampbuster.com/> on your throttle side

If your back is good I would try some of these less-expensive options
before getting into a handlebar issue.

Just some thoughts.
