Yes, there are possible problems.  The noise comes from exhaust air leaking 
out from the pipe attachment point.  If allowed to continue, you can get 
colder air back into the cylinder and and crack the valves and possibly 
even the cylinder walls.  Not to mention, who the heck wants to sound like 
a Harley when you are riding pure class!
