I am more familiar withy the 650 so my answer assumes they are similar. 
Overnight, turn the handle bars to the right to the stop. This may bleed the 
clutch hydraulics.  When shifting into first, it sounds like you may have air 
in the line.  If not hydraulic, try adjusting the cable.  Once it warms up and 
revs high, that sounds like your choke is on. Check to make sure it is put 
together correctly and not sticking. Sorry, that's all I got!
