Thanks. The 550 does have a hydrolic clutch. It could probably use new fluid. I'll start there. I did use the choke when starting the bike, but it definitely was not choked when it revved for no apparent reason. It's worth checking so I'll be sure it is functioning properly. Has anyone ever heard of throttle getting stuck, or just sticky? Or delayed reaction? Particularly while downshifting? Any thoughts on the smoke? What if it doesn't go away?
