Is your fuel line clear?

These bikes just don't use that much fuel and when the carb bowls are full, it
could run for several minutes driving or maybe even 15 -30 minutes at idle. So
a bubble in the fuel line, I can't imagine, would matter. If it runs well
while driving, quit looking at the fuel line. If you don't like what you see,
sometimes it is best to stop looking.

Your problem sounds exactly like mine, except when mine wouldn't start (1 out
of 3-10 times), I was almost always not at home, so waiting was hardly an
option. I had to crank and crank, wait 5 minutes and try again. A few back
fires, literally people ducking, seemingly no desire to run (the bike, not the
people), then on one attempt it just started like there was never a problem.
When it DID sit for the 1 or more hours, it always started perfectly. I
replaced plugs, battery, ran two bottles of Seafoam, etc. seemed to help, but
not fix. At this point, wouldn't start 1 out 8-10 times. Now, I turn off the
petcock 1/4 mile or so before I stop, or even after stopping when I forget, and
the only problem I have had, still can't claim it is fixed, is keeping the bike
running when I do start it. Starts up fine, so far. Keeping it running, as it
turns out, is easily fixed by turning the damn fuel back on. When I ever get
this bike back to MY home, it is in another city where I work as my "other"
bike, I plan to clean the carbs. If I have the problem again, and this may
help you, I will changed the coils. Like someone said above, try jumping. I
kinda doubt that, assuming you have good battery, but... Carb cleaning is my
best guess. Then coils, followed by starter. If you haven't done it, replace
the vac line to the petcock, too.
