I've also got some road rash on the end of one of my used muffler ends. I'm going to use what I painted my used pipes underneath (from weld joint to weld joint where rust appears) on both my back ends of my mufflers. I'll do a "C" shape around the rash (and a similar shape on the other to match) which will hide the rash and keep it from rusting: Rustoleum high heat 600 F automotive exhaust flat back, $3.50 a spray can at Home Depot (stocked item.)
Your other stuff just looks like "Character" to me. Your bike looks great because it looks like its ridden. That's what Nighthawks are for! Your bike is pretty clean and nicely equipped, so you don't notice those small details. I used to ride midsize two stroke street bikes with a friend who raced Penton motorcycles. I had a bigger bike, but had problems keeping up with him at times. The main thing he did was to go slow in intersections until he got set in his lane (where car tires travel), and then he would open it up wide open. It keeps me out of trouble.
