Tommy, afterward, I realized that the bike is not local. Rocky Top is in
Tennessee, just as the song says. Now I know that song is about a real
place. Javier also clued me in that the repair is not trivial, and I'm not
up for a big project. I've got 4 bikes in my garage that need work done if
I feel like wrenching in the cold. In short, the bike is still up for
grabs.

I want to do another big cross-country trip next year, and this one looks
like it might be a good one for that:
http://asheville.craigslist.org/mcy/4760401447.html It's up in Brevard,
NC. I still worry about a Wing being too heavy for me, though. My NH
cracked 3 bones in my left foot a few years back, and I'm still wary of
bikes I can't wrestle back up if they get off balance (the wife was on the
back of the NH at the time and I didn't stand a chance).
