Oh, I forgot about the vacuum. I was thinking especially about my 1978
CB55K, which has no vacuum line from the petcock. It had no problem dumping
gasoline all over the transmission. I got some clear tubing from Home Depot
and led the carb overflows safely over the tranny and down to the pavement
in front of the back wheel. I also bought a $200 c/l bike one time that had
leaked gas through the carbs and into the crankcase, filling it to the top.
It did this in spite of the petcock vacuum line, though I'm not sure how.
