Hey Everybody,
Just recently bought an 83 Nighthawk 650 and I've been racking my brain to
figure out a solution to my electrical issue.
Bike runs with no issues except the tail light is always on, even with the
key in my pocket. So I metered the tail light and found that the brown wire
is always live. I traced it back through the Tail light relay to the fuse
box where I found that the previous owner jumped the Positive feed from the
battery in the fuse box to the other side of fuse box. Nothing else runs
with the ignition off except the tail light. I pulled the wire out that was
jumping the two parts and the bike goes dead. I put it back in and
everything goes back to normal except for the tail light always being on.

Any Ideas on what's going wrong?
