How I set chain slack is: 1. Find the tightest section of chain. 2. Adjust for about 1 inch of travel, better too loose than too tight. 3. Find the loosest section of chain and make sure it has less than 3 inches of travel. Also pull on the back of the sprocket. If you can see light replace the set.
