I have 16k on the original chain. I only adjusted it once in the first week. It does rotate with an irregular sound at highway speeds. It is a normal sound, but the repeated pattern indicates it is wearing irregularly, just getting old. Keep in mind I have always had a drive shaft on the NH 550, so having a chain underneath me all the time is a new experience. I have maintained and changed chain/sprockets for my wife's bikes, but never my own.
I am a little leery of using any solvent of any great strength on a modern 'o' ring chain, but the brush seems like a pretty good way to clean off the grime and spread excess lube afterwards. > > <https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-JXialOKZcyQ/VZOf04lhVSI/AAAAAAAAAZQ/fURpWqqCDPI/s1600/DSC01105.JPG> > > > <https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-6jEw9OUvt5I/VZOgLw2Z-FI/AAAAAAAAAZc/X-iQ2ZrwBfU/s1600/DSC01106.JPG> > > > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
