I bought a magnetic tank bag on eBay for about $20 maybe 10 years ago. It was great in that it had a magnetic base with a map window on top and then 3 additional compartments that could be zipped to it and / or each other. When I rode to work I used the larger of the three bags for my work stuff. One of the smaller ones had my rain gear etc and the third I would add when I needed to carry something else. Overall it worked great to have multiple options. With all three it got kind of tall but would only be like that when I needed it. I know have a trunk on my bike and don't use the tank bag any more. I think I gave it to a friend. I'll look on eBay later today to see if I can find the bag. Sean
