Paul, a little of both. Someone mentioned a replacement light that holds an H4 bulb that uses the original housing. That seems like an excellent solution because the H4 is brighter and less expensive the next time it burns out.
I winterized the bike with everything working. First time out of storage and the bulb burned out. Only 5200 miles.
