Javier, you got me curious, so I went out in the garage and tried it. I
find that if I stand on the left peg and bend my knee up tight, the
backrest can pass under my ankle OK. I guess that's what I'll have to do.

I sat there for a while with my hands on the grips and realized that
whoever put that backrest on must have had longer arms than me. The
backrest doesn't touch my back at all in that position. If I drop one hand
and lean back, OK, but otherwise there's air between me and the backrest.

My wife hasn't tried getting on it yet. If I put a top case on the back
that she can't throw a leg over, this could get interesting.

Joey, God forbid a thread should ever get hijacked around here! I dunno, I
just checked and saw that I left for BC last year on July 3, so maybe it'll
be something like that again. I'm self-employed like you, so I don't have
to put in for vacation time or anything. I hope to look in on Allen,
Javier, and whoever else would like to get together, and I plan on visiting
my old boyhood chum in Bangor. Somehow I need to hit VT and NH to round out
the bucket list 50, too. So I imagine I'll be crisscrossing around up there
around the 10th. If you'd like to get together some time around then, that
would be great. Glenn
