As far as I know they only made a stage 1 jet kit. No bigger. She'll purr just
the same. You'll get better midrange. I have 55,000 on mine and runs just like
when I bought it.

That's what I was thinking, would a stage I dynojet kit be enough? I am scared
to start messing with the carbs- I know I have the mechanical skill to do it
but the bike runs so well as is I am afraid to mess with it.

To be safe, it's always a good idea to rejet the carbs when you modify the
exhaust. Whether you replace the exhaust or just remove the baffles from your
stock pipes, you should rejet.

Out of curiosity (not trying to hijack the thread here), but is it recommended
to rejet the carbs after doing the Hodge mod? I wanted to make my 750 a little
louder, but don't want to burn up my valves because of improper jetting.

The Hodge mod is a must then, unless you go for the jet kit. I have a jet kit
with a k&n air filter and the Mac exhaust. Your fuel economy will suffer
though. I get around 42 in the city. Highway? 36 to 40 depending on how you
ride. Of course the higher the rpm, the worse the mpg. I would start with the
hodge mod and see how you like it. This way you can keep everything stock. Even
with the stage 1 jet kit, you can keep the stock pipes.

Any better performance would help too... I live up at 9600 feet in Colorado so
the air is thin and reduces power a bit
